Massage in Phuket Old Town
Forty-odd massage and spa places sit inside the square kilometre, and between them they are the most used thing in Old Town. More people have been through them than through every museum, market and attraction here put together.
Sansabai on Thalang Road is the busiest business in the district of any kind.Not the busiest massage shop. The busiest anything, ahead of every restaurant, museum and market in the heritage core.
Nobody writes about this. Massage gets covered island-wide or not at all, which leaves the thing visitors here actually do most without a page anywhere.
Almost none of them publish a price
Two of them carry a price on Google. Restaurants in the same square kilometre publish theirs as a matter of course; massage shops here simply do not.
So the price you pay is the price on the board outside, and you cannot check it before you walk in. We will not print a rate we have not been told directly, which for now means this page has none. Most of them do publish a phone number, and ringing round is the next job.

What the reviews are actually about
Foot massage dominates, at Sansabai and all the way down the list. If you want a Thai massage you will get a good one, but it is not what the street is set up for.
Shirodhara, the treatment where warm oil is poured across your forehead, is a Sea Massage speciality and essentially nowhere else in the district.
Hours
Most of this cluster opens at 10:00 or 10:30 and runs to 22:00 or later. Sea Massage and Sirapak go to 23:00; one place on Patiphat Road is listed to 01:30.
Tantitium is the exception worth knowing about: 16:00 to midnight Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 11:00 at weekends, closed Wednesday.
